The youth list – or Murtaugh list

Have u guys ever watch ‘The Bucket List’? It’s a movie starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. In this movie, these 2 guys created a list of things they need to do before they die. I am 20 now and I really want to do something really great before I die. So as I’m still so far away from that stage (unless-god forbid-someone kill me tomorrow) so I’m creating the list of things I have to do before I get old (or it is called the Murtaugh List in How I Met Your Mother. How old is OLD? Maybe 30? Or lets set the time to… before I get married? So I’ll put some things here, and I might need u guys to CHALLENGE me. Yeap, that’s right. CHALLENGE ME!!

I’ll try to do it and make a check list under a section of my blog down there. And I will check it once I’ve done it. But, the list has to be:

1. Attainable – u probably can but u wont
2. Challenging – u probably can or cant do it so u want me to do it
3. Not death risk (please don’t) – no fire burning my body as a challenge
4. Not going to destroy my image – u cant ask me to yell at an old people
5. It has to make sense – u cant ask me to have a kid at the age of 22
6. Memorable – “remember that time when winson…”
7. A bit crazy or funny – I need to be shameless lol
8. Part of living the life to the fullest – it’s fun, it’s crazy and it’s our youth baby!!

So I need u guys to put your challenges in the comment thread below and I wont take all. I will limit it to 25… wait erm… 20. Ah no, I’ll take 30 and if I do 25, I’m awesome but if I do 30, I’m super awesome ;p

So here is the youth list so far:

1. Get 5 different dates to 5 different weddings

2. Do skydiving (submitted by Wina - she really wants to kill me)

3. Sing in the street for money (or we call it “ngamen”)

4. Go to 2 different dates in a night (woo-hoo)

5. Act drunk and go to ladies room

I will update this, as soon as I finish a challenge, I’ll put the picture (if there are pictures) or any evidence and I’ll check the list on my blog.. so follow me on this blog and I swear it’ll be damn entertaining for ya..

things that I want to have in my future house

I was bored all night and I cant sleep so I decided to chat wif some friends and he said that he wants to have a great garden in his house later on. So I was wandering… hmmm what do I want to have in my house later?

So… here goes:

Mini bar

Yeap, first things that came to my mind: party and drink. I always need this, I love to drink especially with my friends around. Well if I have this in my house I can invite u guys to come over to taste my new mix of cocktails maybe?

Closet

I am so into fashion but not really a fashionable guy (I do think too fashionable makes a guy so gay) so I might need this to put all my fancy cloths and suits? And shoes of course. So it’s on the list.

Garage like a showroom

This is one of my dream to have a garage that looks like a showroom. Not that I want to have lots of cars, but I do have some dream cars in mind. And they’ll look awesome with this garage.

Home gym

I’m very aware of health and I want to stay fit so I want to work out in the place that is very convenient. And there’s no place like home, so why not?

Multi functional basement

This is the best part. I really want to have a basement that can be use for everything. Karaoke, party, game night, u name it. But most importantly, to hang out with friends and family.

Living room that full of sky

I want my house to be a lil bit romantic and comfy, so I want to have a living room that has the sky view. Means I need a big window in my living room so that I can clearly see the sky at night and full of lights in the afternoon. Sounds cool eh?

what a day.. went to berwick to do 3 hours seminar today.. when i got there.. there is no lecture..
i managed to go around and see what's going on.. until i received an email:

"as i told u last week.. i will not be around this week.. hope to see u again next week..."

BIATCH! i didnt come last week thats why i wanna meet u up for assignment! u shouldve told me earlier.. the email came just one hour before the lecture.. it came when i was in train..!!

so....

i went back home and spent 3 valuable hours of my lifetime..

first day in melbourne!!

finally im in melbourne!! hahaha
connected to better internet and here goes my first blog in 2009 =p

anyway.. so my first day in melbourne was on 13th midnight.. i havent got any place to stay.. so.. kheno and xintia (frens from my hometown) brought me to a place where i can stay for a while.. so they brought me to Nagalita's house.. Nagalita is my senior when i was in sunway (so world is not that big).. the house is quite nice and comfy as well.. better than monash condo.. even though i sleep at the living room (seriously!!).. so.. the next day.. which is the valentine day.. kheno and xintia brought me around the town.. and introduced me to some of their frens (guess im bothering their valentine =p big thanx mates!!!).. . so.. to me.. melbourne is a very great city!! it is beautiful yet modern!! i'd say the life here is better than what i had in sunway.. (but not the frens of coz.. u guys rocks! =P).. the weather is cool.. and pretty cold at night.. and everything seems fun here.. so i managed to find some differences here and in malaysia.. have a look and comment! hehehe

1. the city is so neat. clean and better organized than in malaysia... and indonesia.. dun even try to compare it..
2. the homeless people here is more talented than in malaysia.. they can do dance and art stuffs to get money!!
3. the portion of the food is damn big!! i ate the schnitzel (like a chicken chop in malaysia).. and it was like.. 2.5 times the size of chicken chop.. for 10 bucks!!
4. u can see people making out everywhere (on the street, in a train, in a toilet, in a shop, in a fitting room!!). in malaysia, someone might yell at u for doing this
5. u can see many people from different races like chinese, indian, greek, caucassian, and even malays!
6. more gays!!
7. they talk like they yell
8. they will greet u like.."hows it going?" even if dun not know them if u accidentally look each other in the eyes
9. the traffic is better.. but pretty frustating at some point
10. more fashionable guys and girls.. and.. some are topless in town.. wtf?

so that's it!! i read leng's blog before im wrote this and... the video was pretty funny.. hahahaha... nice blog leng!!! anyway.. hope that i can sleep well tonight... happy valentine again guys...

i'm not a person who is anti gay or something.. really.. but still.. i got one question to ask.. do i look like i'm gay? nuh-uh.. definetely not!! i got a pic with girl and i nvr acted like a gay.. so why the hell do these gays keep msg me??

that was a question asked by my dad when i was young
we were driving to a small town to check on one of my father's business
in a car.. while having a small talk.. he suddenly asked..

"son, what is ur biggest dream that u want to achieve in this life?"
(thinking for a while) "ermm i once wanted to have my own academy.. that.. that i'm in charge of everything"
my father smiled and said "it is a good dream.. but.. can u achieve it?"
"i dunno dad.. to make an academy.. i have to be well known of what i am doing i guess"
"that's true.. so what are u going to be well know as?"
"ermmm i really want to be a professional footballer.. but it's only a dream.. there's no future in being a footballer in Indonesia.."
"maybe.. but u see.. there's no limit of dream.. by dreaming u can be whatever u wanna be.. the next step is to work hard and try your best to achieve your dream.. "
i was thinking that my dad was talking like it is very easy..

so i asked again
"what was ur dream dad? and.. have u achieved it?"
he smiled "i was so poor that i couldnt even bother to have a dream.. i worked all the time and managed to be successful.. i guess my only dream was to achieved everything that i can achieved.."
i wow-ed like hell.. it was the coolest thing i ever heard from my dad

"so that means u achieved ur dreams already.."
"no son.. we are human.. when a dream achieved.. u cant stop there.. another dream will come to ur mind.. that's why.. be the best that u can ever be is the best way to achieve everything in this world"

"and the best thing that i have now is.. i got all the children that will continue my dreams.. ur sister, you, and ur brothers" he added..
that time.. i felt so lucky that my father talked bout it.. it is something that makes me me now
"err dad" i replied "i know what dream that i need to acquire before i achieve all my dreams"

TOPSHOP-student sale!!

i went to pyramid today with fera and vero..
my intention was to talked to my boss in republic about my exam schedule while vero was goint to the pos malaysia to send something for her sister..
fera? she was just sticking around.. lol
so after we finished our business, we were walking around pyramid.. and then.. we saw a lot of people in front of TOPSHOP with some barricades..

summore.. it's only for student.. u hv to present ur student id to enter
cool..!! (that was the first thing that came to my mind
so then all of us started the hunt into TOPSHOP..

it was very crowded there..
and.. i couldnt stand it!! so i went out of the shop and started taking pictures



see..? its the discount poster that was put outside TOPSHOP..
but then fera and vero was taking too long inside..
so i decided to check'em out.. but i couldnt find'em

when i was looking at the crowd.. i realized that..
it's only marketing strategy..!!
see.. the poster said that "20%off on all regular item prices"
but i think that a lot of stuff is actually under price reduction in TOPSHOP recently
sumtimes it was half price discount as well..
so it wasnt really worth it

so.. i think the strategy here is this..

my hypotesis: is that TOPSHOP is reducing the 'guilty' feeling of the consumers by helding a student discount.. why? so that when they bought it.. they will say "it's ok.. it's on discount"
so they wont feel guilty to spend a lot of money just because it is DISCOUNT!! and the target is perfect.. STUDENS!! why? coz sumtimes i oso save money and wait until sale season to spend it..!
hahaha

so i decided not to buy based on my hypothesis.. and say
"i'm not gonna be fooled by this"-proudly of coz
